There are several graphing classes available from third parties for a variety of prices.

Or would it have to be built in ?

To be generally useful for scientists it would be really helpful for it to be built in.. As we are not building commercial apps it gets hard to keep justifying buying 3rd part classes and plugins.. You will often be told just dump the data to excel .. Which is a nightmare to maintain...

Not if you were to use ... oh my free classes to write to Excel (2004 and up)
You can have an RB program dump the data into worksheet

I've not added any means to specific how to graph the data but the source code is all there so it's a start
