Well, Postgresql is a server, and Valentina is also embedded, meaning
that you don't have to do any installs, upgrades, fixes, patches or
whatever. What comes with your application just works.
Also, if you don't use the db classes that come with RB but instead
use the classes that come with Valentina, Valentina is so much
faster, you won't believe your eyes, I did not.
Also, you get no real support with Postgresql, you might buy support
from quite a few companies, but then you usually always pay a lot
more than what Valentina costs.

There were many times, someones on this mailing kept
on suggesting to use Postgres w/ RB. I tried it and
found that it has so many features similar to
commercial product like Oracle. The product is very
stable and comes with a Windows installer and easy to
use. It's license policy is extremely generous.
What I don't understanding is why people still want to
pay commercial products such as Valentina. Is there a
problem w/ Postgres that that I need to be aware of?
Can some body explain?
Thanks
