Yeah, I vaguely remember something changing with the sprite surface a
while back, and my demos would have needed updating. Unfortunately I
don't recall the details, and it looks like I didn't do it at the time.
It was something to do with coordinates, I think. Also note that
recent versions of OS X don't much like indexed color; you'd want to
change it to use direct (16- or 32-bit) color instead.

Anyway, it's certainly fixable; dig in and see if you can find what
needs updating. If not, let me know and I'll try to find a few minutes
to do it.

FYI, the coordinates are supposed to be drawn; that's just a visual aid
to help you understand how the SpriteSurface works. But you should
also see land, hills, etc., on which the little guy runs. Sounds like
those aren't being drawn properly.

Goodness, you're using an ancient version of RB on the latest version
of OS X. I'm amazed it works at all!

Right, that's it exactly.

Sometimes it's not very active.. especially when people start
game-development threads on the NUG instead of there. :) We really
should move this thread over to there, so as not to clutter up the NUG
with topics many people may not care about.
