Granted there are a lot of things I'd like o use in new versions but the whole memory usgae issue in 2006 and 2007 makes them largely unproductive RB 2005 has an issue trying to get access to items in /tmp using a Shell Path which limits how you can use it with some other programs that put files there

And 5.5.5 still launches tons faster and compiles way faster than any 200x version and I can leave it running for days. I can't do that with 2006 or 2007. I have to restart them regularly as do others (read the "Insane memory consumption of the IDE" thread)

Just because you have no issues with new versions doesn't mean others don't

That's right. I feel like the new versions (starting at 2005) are another product.
