Yes. WAY too cheap. I mean no disrespect to Ricardo (as I'm sure he's perfectly capable), but that is a dangerously low price. If all the parties involved are hobbyists (or one step up from there), then this is fine. But if the company who needs the work done, or the consultant, are doing this as their full time gig... then the hourly rate needs to be substantially higher. Depending on the type of work being done, experience of the developer, time frame for development, etc... the hourly rate should be more along the lines of $40/hr to $150/hr. > As an aside, does anyone know of a good place to research contract > rates in different languages? It would be interesting to see how the > different languages stack up, particularly if REALbasic is in the list. I'd be curious as well. I'd also be interested in seeing how the rates compare between platforms (Palm, Linux, Win, etc). I have my own idea of how some things stack up based on personal experience... but I'm interested in what others have seen. -Bryan Lunduke www.bunusach.com _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
