for me it's not even the money any more: I'd GLADLY accept a quarterly
release with NO new features, but with most outstanding bugs fixed.  I
have wasted enormous amounts of time chasing/working around compiler
bugs (as if my own bugs aren't enough to keep me busy!).

I'm sure 99% of folks on this list would concur.

How about we file a FR as follows: for 2007r3 we want not a single new
feature over r2, but all bugs with more than 2 votes fixed.  I'm not
being facetious.
