Pseudo uses dual encoders every day, in fact we rely very heavily on them.
We have standardized our encoding boxes on the Antex SC-22 (4 inputs) and
the Osprey 100. Each box gets 2 Osprey's. These are housed in a Dell 2300
Server Dual 550 PIII w/ 512MB RAM.
We were able to increase the quality and reliability of the box and yet
lower the per stream cost with this configuration.
You can't just open another instance of the Real Producer. Before starting
your encode you must specify an alternate sound input, otherwise you will
get the 'Can't open audio device' error.
Also, be sure to install the Osprey 100 drivers one at a time to ensure that
both boards are recognized.
