Well it sounds that ModRex/0.5 will be the next "stable" release, and have the majority of the features that I would like to see.
What will happen with NextGen though? Will OpenSim grids work with NextGen? How easily would it be to move/migrate from 0.5/Modrex over to NextGen once it's complete? Will there be some form of upgrade scripts we can run, or some form of migration path so that a grid built in 0.5/modrex could be upgraded to Nextgen? How exactly will that work? Will there be a migration path from 0.5/Modrex to nextgen (once it's completed) or will builders using 0.5/Modrex be forced to choose between one or the other with no simple migration strategy between the two technologies? Or will "nextgen" just be another module for the OpenSim project?
