reX-NG is a project codeword for now, in order to distinguish it from
reX-legacy. Since planning is incomplete, its hard to define these
completely.

Previously reX was a fork of OpenSim and LL's SL viewer. The fork has
over time become hard to maintain, and thus of lower quality.

ModreX fixes the OpenSim fork by making reX a RegionModule on top of
stock OpenSim. The protocol that reX implements is a somewhat modified
version of OS's SL protocol.

reX-NG viewer is our new viewer, which will work with ModreX, which
implies a certain amout of SL compatibility. However due to the
modularity of OpenSim, we have a certain amount of flexibility to
alter the protocol, meaning it will likely not work without on OpenSim
without ModreX.

Cheers,
