Sorry to bother you guys again about
collision, but it still rankles me. I tried the server with the aqua world, created new prims there and attached the statue mesh, which was already included and collision worked fine. Then I attached my self-made mesh, and again I read the physics error message in the server shell window. So I think this error message is the key, because foreign models obviously appear to be working. I also believe it might have something to do with my models, so here is some additional information: I'm using Maya 2008 for modelling. I have a house-like model to be existend of a bunch of seperate objects: walls, seats, and so on. Walls have their own texture, seats have their own texture. Before exporting I have combined all objects to one single object. Then I used the OGRE Maya 2008 exporter, selected "export mesh", gave a destination and a file name and did no other changes in the exporter window. Then I uploaded the .mesh file via the rex viewer menu. To be sure, the model is not too complex, I created a simple sphere in Maya and exported it the same way with an equal effect. Every time I select one of my own meshes in the colision dropdown box, this error message appears in the server window: [Physics]: Error importing mesh: temple, “Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.” (a translation try) [Physics]: Error importing mesh: temple, “The object reference was not allocated to an objectinstance.” The only difference between my meshes and the meshes delivered with the server is the size of the bounding box. My meshes are quite big and when I click on them inworld, I see the bounding box of the corresponding prim cube they belong to. Is this taking an effect to the physics engine? kind regards Thomas --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ http://groups.google.com/group/realxtend http://www.realxtend.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~--- |
