I think I saw the scripts you're talking about. From memory they were called
DNS-DHCP or something like that. Or do you use another one? The problem with
that was it didn't work on my RH 7.2 box, and the documentation was so
sparse and outdated (although I did find some recent documentation in
French - but that doesn't really help me). Maybe you have a more recent one
or even better a working one?

I dropped it at the time still not working when I read the BIND article that
said named and dhcpd could now do this. Turns out I can't get it to work
either.

That's what the documentation promised, yes. From memory you just put the
script in a CRON job and it was supposed to work it's magic (OK, not
immediately unless you run it every second which is stupid), but even a 2 to
5 minute cron job would have sufficed me. But like I said. It never worked
for me..... :(

Like I said - go to the BIND web site. Apparently yes, this is exactly what
it will do. I just need to get the dang configuration right :)
