Remember how Rice absolutely fell off the table his last year?  We were
talking about whether he needed glass and what not.

Well, that horrible last year delivered the same stats that Yaz delivered
over his last ten years.

It gets me to thinking that the Red Sox HOF is much more relevant than the
MLB HOF.  Of course, I'm from Boston, so I know that everything in Boston is
more releveant than things from anywhere else.  That said, I'd extend my
argument to say that very few players have made as signficant a contribution
to the league as they have to their own team.

Which gets me back to my "no bubble guys."  If a non-baseball fan doesn't
know who the person is, then they really can't be counted as famous.
Average people have heard of Roger Clemens, Barry Bons, Mark McGuire, and
Sammy Sosa.

Hmm...I just named the all-steroids team.
