A reverse lighting refugium is supposed to help keep the pH, that would
normally drop at night, stay around what it does during the daytime. I have
mine on 24-7 so it does many things. 1. It will do the pH thing. 2. My
caluerpa benefit from the co2 that is released by the reef at night, it
helps it grow faster 3. By having it on 24-7, my caluerpa is constantly
removing organics 4. Caluerpa often will not crash if on a 24-7 photo
period.

Just wondering why I have heard several people say that if you have
a
refugium ect., you should light it opposite of the main tank?
meaning
the light is on at night instead of during the day.
