I'm new into reef keeping though I've kept freshwater
aquariums for years. I wanted to put a reef in the
waiting room of my clinic and heat was a
consideration. The dealer talked me into a 75 gallon
hex tank with a pendant 250 W metal halide... then
went out of business shortly after set-up. The next
dealer I contacted thinks the guy was unloading his
inventory on me and is trying to convince me to get a
rectangular tank.
Pros/cons? Anyone out there successfully using this
setup? At this point I have a sizable investment and
would like to make it work if possible.
I planned to use the Berlin method and have a protein
skipper, UV, and charcoal in the 15 gal sump beneath.
Thanks,
jer
