First
of all, keep your nitrates in very low levels, that will maintain your inverts
in good shape. The clams are filter fides and take nitrates from the water. They
are very sensitive animals and if you have high levels of nitrates, they can
die.

think It is better think in good lighting to maintain them in good shape before
think in "nitrates alimentation"

Thanks Arturo, by the way, I�ve always know that maxima and tridacna clams feed on nitrates, but someone told me that fire clams also feed on nitrates. YOu know fire clams right? they have a red flesh and little tentacles coming out of them.Is that true? �cause i would love to buy some!!!!.Marco
