Wow, thanks everyone for the flood of great great responses! My current host jumped on the issue quickly and resolved it for now, so luckily I don't have to do an emergency migration, but I still plan to dig into all of the recommendations and shift my hosting in an orderly fashion, likely moving to one of the providers y'all recommended.
