Yes, but besides cause an unwanted mute, falsing also stores a digit in the command buffer. Controllers disregard the digit(s) after a few seconds, but a voice that easily falses the decoder can rack up an entire macro command in a few seconds! I've suggested to customers that they avoid 1- and 2-digit macros for just that reason.

BTW, it's real interesting comparing talk-off rates with the R and C values for DTMF decode timing. The phone company researched this years ago and came up with the 40 mS standard. In two-way radio, 40 mS seems to be a little on the fast side. When the resistor is changed just a little, say to change the timing to 50 mS, falsing rates drop like a rock! My guess is that changing the timing to under 40 mS will result in a LOT of talkoff.
