You will need on status tone encoder 
for each signal quality module (inbound 
link). If you plan to expand later, 
leave the unused SQM modules pulled out
for the links not yet in service. Add 
the encoders when you place the SQM's 
in service.

Correct. In reality, you would disable the 
tone key function and use a/the form C relay 
or what ever hard logic outputs from control 
shelf.  The tone key system is not used in 
your application unless you're keying a Mot 
repeater/base.

Works very well, I have more than 10 in service 
doing said. It's actually a lot of work, but 
the system preformance is smokin'
