John,

I don't know how to make Okey Dokey Pro not do this, but I do know that your
user has unchecked the "Run in background" preference on the client. This is
fine--it just makes the client Mac unusable until the backup is finished
(you can see why it's the NON-default option)--but the immediate solution to
your problem is to check it again. The backup may slow the machine, but as
long as you're backing up this user with Backup Server there should be ample
warning...
