    If you run Python with the `-Wdefault` flag it should enable the display of 
deprecation warnings. They're suppressed by default. I remember catching one 
such warning with the version of boto we're currently on during a regular 
cluster launch.
    
    Using a code coverage tool to make sure we don't miss any branches sounds 
like a good idea. What tool would you use to do that for Python?
