In addition every installation I've tried thus far seems to be unable to deal with the Dell 2009W monitor I have attached and/or the graphics card inside. More often than not after the RHGB the OS drops the screen to standby. Attempts at switching to another virtual desktop result in the box powering off. When I can get to a graphical login the OS refuses to display at 1680x1050 (the monitor's native resolution).
The video driver may not be able to read the EDID from the monitor. Assuming you're using analog, try adding a simple monitor section to your xorg.conf file: Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor0" VendorName "Unknown" ModelName "Unknown" HorizSync 30.0 - 110.0 VertRefresh 50.0 - 150.0 Option "DPMS" EndSection Match "Monitor0" to whatever name is used the rest of your file. _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list rhelv5-list@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
