All breeds of horse and mule are allowed.  I've heard
that Pasos have a heart murmmer and don't have the
physical ability it takes for the hills and such.  I
don't know that I believe that.  I have a friend that
raises them.  They are generally too small for many
Americans...like me.  That's not true for everyone
though.

That speed, or the quatrobeat, is best used on the
flat.  I don't see any percentage over rocks or up and
down hills.  That's my take on it though.
