I tried all this out using the GUI to check what was done, and I'm
pretty sure /c /r /s r will calculate gain and write it to an APE tag,
but not alter data, i.e. the GUI shows that the file has been analyzed
but not altered.
It's the /g ("gain" I presume) switch that actually alters the data.
Try these various options out and check it with the GUI.
