That's good for when you are manually managing files, but 99% of the time I'm working with them through a manager/player. Or, I'm trying to build playlists off artists, etc., but want to keep albums together. The point is that I don't want to disrupt the collection album (on disk or in the organization), but I also don't want to lose visibility to the real artist when it comes to seeing what songs I have by them in a player. Something like
