Unless I'm missing something, what you want is pretty standard VA behavior. - Remove the 'Various Artists' ALBUMARTIST. - Tag each individual track with its respective ARTIST. - Optionally, add a COMPILATION=1 tag to Flac files. - Keep the album intact, in its own folder. Don't break the tracks out into the individual artist folders. - Set the Server Setting > Behavior > Compilations setting of "Group compilation albums together". SlimServer should recognize albums tagged like this as compilations. With the server behavior setting they'll be grouped under Various Artists and the track artists will not appear in your artists lists unless they also have other full albums. If the artist does have other albums, then when you browse the artist, the compilation albums on which they appear will also be shown, but drilling down into those albums will display only the tracks for that artist. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34616 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
