yes :) but this is by the author's own admission http://craz.net/programs/itunes/alac.html even though he mentions only supporting 16 bits mono/stereo, in any format reverse engineering effort, there is always the possibility of some stream using some feature you did not encounter, or for a later version of the encoder to add some feature. this has already happened at least once with this decoder. I'm hoping the rumored upcoming core audio support for FLAC in leopard means apple will be moving towards FLAC but I encourage people to petition via the link above to make sure FLAC becomes a first class codec in itunes.
