there's no way.  the level is kind of arbitrary anyway and not a
feature of the format itself.  there are other FLAC encoders besides
flac.exe that use a different numbering system.

if you really want to keep track, you can add tag your files when you
create them like '--tag=COMPRESSION_OPTIONS=-8' or something.
