yeah - I've been giving this some thought too. It would be nice if there was a script which would go through your music files, and flag any corruption.
I am currently creating PAR files and keeping them alongside each album, in the same directory. Slimserver just ignores the files, and you can execute the PAR's at any time, to restore the rest of the files to the condition they were, when the PAR's were created. It obviously increases the disk space needed for each album, but with HDD's so reasonable now, who cares. I do keep a full offline back up too - but the PAR's are so quick and easy for repairing the odd corrupt music file. -- wordy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ wordy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13667 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39578 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
