Okay I am, I guess, open to either WMA or FLAC as my medium of choice. I do however have a few questions. (Under the covers, of course, is the fact that I have about 103 gig of music - not a lot by some standards, but it does take up a bit of space.)
BE IT KNOWN: 1.) I am using windows XP and Vista. Sorry guys, but I do need these operating systems for reasons that would sound silly to you all, unless someone is willing to pay a whole lot of money to let me learn a new OS. 2.) From a very limited bit of research, it seems that FLAC is somewhat smaller than WMA, maybe I am wrong. HELP NEEDED What format do I need to rip to? Obviously I can rip to WMA, but what advantage would there be to ripping to WMA (for example), converting to FLAC, then when I want to burn a new CD, convert back to WMA, burn and so on. Does anyone have any ideas, wonderful solutions, or perhaps perfect solutions? Or even inperfect solutions? Okay, What can I do? I have about 102 gig of music on Windows drives. Of course I can split the data over a few drives with a bit of copying. But should I spend the time to convert all the WMA files to FLACs? Your input would be most appreciated.
