My amp has never had any problems with Dolby Digital from any other source. And I gone through about 6 different DVD players and the PS3.
All speakers are connected. I can hear the rears during regular movie playback or DTS/Flac playback. The Kelly industry files I tested with where downloaded as WAV's and didn't work either left as WAV or Flac'd I've tried files from here http://www.diatonis.com/downloads_dts_ac3.html and here http://www.kellyindustries.com/sounds.html One of the files, I can't remember which one now, brings on the surround light on the amp after about 5 seconds of playback, but there's no audible sound. Any AC3's I spdifconvert will playback as PCM stereo. I think it may even report them as 48khz. There's obviously something coming off DVD's that missing from the files I'm sent to the SB3.
