My gut feeling is that your wireless network is still not up to the
task.  But you can stream DivX files (about 8MB/minute, often; depends
on the settings used to encode them, but I've seen many on the Internet
with that bitrate), and even DTS (which is often 10MB/minute even after
FLAC).  So my gut is perhaps wrong... but are you able to hook the SB
up by a wire, to test?

That sounds odd, but maybe the amp has a way of demuxing the important
two channels when it has problems buffering the full thing.

Just a thought: did you definitely rip the 5.1 audio tracks and not the
2.0 tracks by mistake?
