What I'd like to do is have albums done by two or more people, with both
those people in the official "artists" field be listed both under the
collaboration and under the individual artists.
So, for example, if I have an album
Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny - Beyond The Missouri Sky
and I'd like it to be listed under artists
- Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny
- Pat Metheny
- Charlie Haden

Otherwise, in this example, when I'm browsing by artist, and looking at
work done by Pat Metheny, I don't see this one.

I'm pretty sure that if I change all my artist fields that contain "X
and Y" to "X & Y" or "X, Y, and Z" to "X, Y & Z" and then set the
SqueezeCenter "separator chars" to, say ',' and '&', I'd then get my
albums listed by the individual - but I won't see the "X & Y" as an
artist anymore.
Do I have this right?

Is there a "standard" way to deal with this issue? Maybe put "X and Y"
into the album-artists field, and X;Y in the artists field?

Has anyone else dealt with this? I'd love not only to get it working,
but working in a standard-enough way that when the next version of
SqueezeCenter (or whatever it gets called that time 'round) I still
have something that works.
Also - if this is a really dumb idea, please feel free to tell me so
(although I'd love to know -why- it's dumb).

BTW, is there actually a field named "albumartists"? I see mention of
it (for instance another thread here SilverRS8 was kind enough to list
the different elements that go into the contributors table -and I'd
guess that whatever I'd want to do can be done with these fields)
Thanks!
