If you rip with EAC, and you have more than one drive, you may rip in parallel...
My experience, using EAC is that 25 minutes is not a long time to rip a CD, I'd rather have the PC working a lot and have a nice result. I've experienced up to 1 hour with bad CD's You don't have to sit around waiting....
