I strongly recommend using crip to rip, encode, and tag classical music.
It was developed by a classical music fan, with more than 200 Bach CDs.

It handles separate composer and artist tags, allows custom tags, and
grouping of tracks on a CD into separate works, etc. Much better than
any alternative for classical music, in my opinion.

However, it only runs on Unix/Linux, not Windows.  The latest versions
encode to Ogg/Vorbis or FLAC, but not MP3.

I think this is a great model for detailed, correct tagging of clasical
