After looking at the mp3tag guide at
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Mp3tagGuide I had to wonder why
it recommends using mp3gain to do replay gain. It seems like it
introduces an unnecessary new type of tag (APEv2) just to store replay
gain tags. Using most any other replay gain program, dbpoweramp,
foobar, mediamonkey you can just use ID3v2 to add replay gain data. My
understanding of Squeezecenter was to keep it simple and use just ID3v2
if possible. The Wiki is great and I wish I would have read it before
figuring it out the long way, but I'm not sure adding another tag form
is needed or good advice. Am I thinking right here or missing
something? Like I say I tend to learn this stuff the hard way. :)
