I use UltraEdit and have used it to view the files. I could see some
text but it was interspersed with lots of code and each letter was
seperated by a full stop. It was just too hard to see what was going
on.

I don't suppose that there is a setting in UA to enable the file to be
viewed in a more useful manner?
