In the 'pro-audio' world, that being post-production as what I do, the trend is towards BWF or Broadcast WAVE. Even though Apple seems to think AIFF files can handle tags, BWF was designed from the outset for massive amounts of meta-data information within the file structure. I really don't see AIFF lasting much longer except for backwards compatibility. BWF is where everything is heading. That being said, the lossless formats sound IDENTICAL to their 'raw' brothers and take half the storage space. I really think that, before too long, ProAudio is also going to have to deal with lossless levels of compression for files. -- Eric Seaberg Eric Seaberg - San Diego A.E.S., S.M.P.T.E., S.P.A.R.S.
