Exactly correct. WinAmp and WMP don't support compilation albums; you have to tell the apps via album artist tags that songs are part of the same album by a single artist. Calling that artist "Various Artists" doesn't make it a compilation album, and there is no way to tell it that it is a compilation. You cannot browse all compilation albums, because there is no such indicator or list to browse. You can look for "Various Artists" and see a list of albums by that artist, but there could be other compilations that have different album artist names. SC works exactly the same if there is an album artist tag of "Various Artists". Music will be shown as a normal album by an artist of that name. It will not be a compilation, but could be made a compilation by setting compilation to 1. If you didn't set the album artist, there's even less work to do, as it will automatically be a compilation and appear as "Various Artists". A user can add tags, or remove tags to get the desired effect. _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
