this isn't a language problem, its a context problem.

i already said SC does EXACTLY what the rules for it tell it to do. I
AGREE that the TRUE / FALSE proposition is EXACTLY followed, and that
its always predictable/reproduceable as to the outcome... ANY artist
mismatch, (eg. differing mp3 TPE1 values) results in SC saying its a
comp, (providing other relevant tags are blank).

there is no disagreement on that point by anyone as far as i can tell.

the problem is that the TRUE / FALSE proposition is MEANINGLESS.

it is MEANINGLESS to decide if its true or false if there are differing
TPE1 values or not. TOTALLY MEANINGLESS.

why?

b/c half the time the rule determines TRUE, in my case, it was WRONG.
it was calling things a comp that were not in reality a comp!

so the outcome as to its accuracy in being right in a MEANINGFUL way,
can only be described as GUESSING, since it delivered 50% false
positives.

what is unclear about this??? i mean this is starting to get surreal.

here's an amusing example to illustrate the point:

lets say i tell you, erland, to go through 1000 image files and i want
you to determine which ones are "hot chicks."

you say "how?"

i say "here's the rule: ANY nudity means its 'hot' chicks."

so you go thru the pics, and 33 have nudity and so you say "by rule,
these are hot chicks, here you go."

and so i look at them, and i say, "well, 17 of them ARE hot chicks, but
the other 16 aren't! 10 are fat, 1 is old, and 1 is a guy!"

and you say "well, i know, but the rule was ANY nudity."

do you recognize the problem now? the rule is FLAWED and guesses, the
EXECUTION of the rule may not be flawed or guess if judged by the
confines and context of the rule and code itself, but it is in the
worthiness (or lack thereof) of its results.

imagine if medical tests were allowed to be wrong, and someone said
"well, its not the tests fault, the test did what its designed to."
what worth is there in that if someone get poisoned as a result?
