Well spotted Clive!

Some files clip right off the CD and a negative RG value is a clue that
they -might-, so dropping the value down further might avoid clipping. 
MP3Gain, for example, supports writing gain tags that represent the
maximum gain before clipping occurs, and if clipping occurs off the CD,
these values will be negative.  However -18 dB is extreme and yes, if
it's derived from REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_PEAK only then something is quite
wrong!
