Thanks for the prompt replies Chaps, appreciated. I checked on both those items, both ok. I just discovered if I browse via Genre and go to "rock" which I know to be the tag on the songs, non of the albums appear there either. I can't help feeling this is something rather obvious I have missed.
I have dropped the mp3 file into notepad and looked as best I can at the tags there, can't see anything extra that could be affecting this. any more ideas all gratefully received, loving the squeezebox experience apart from this small hicup.
