Ok, I've had a quick read of this thread and I'm not sure of I've got the wrong end of the stick, so rather than compound my ignorance I thought I'd ask!
I have recently acquired a DAC with HDCD decoding, and I have a bunch of HDCD disks that I have ripped to FLAC (as well as some I've not) and so I was about to re-rip those disks with dbpoweramp and its HDCD pluging to 24 bit, as SB3 now supports 24 bits flacs. Is that the right thing to do? I read that some people just re-scan the FLAC with the HDCD filter and that does what exactly? Or does dbp produce some wonderful 16 bit HDCD encoded FLAC??? I'm kinda confused.
