Thanks everyone. I'll try downloading dbpoweramp and see how that goes. I may invest in a new drive as well. And yes, I learned my 'backup' lesson. I always make sure work stuff is backed up (I am also a lecturer), but didn't prioritise the music last time--so that was all I lost, and to be honest losing it was not so terrible in the scheme of things.
