really?  b/c i do exactly that, and works great for me.

show me the standards body that agrees with you, where it says setting
an AA tag on a comp is "incorrect."  conversely, i can show you several
apps and tagging sources, like gracenote, amg, itunes, wmp, winamp, etc
that set an AA tag on everything, comp or not.  thats authority in
practice at the very least.

just b/c SBS doesn't want AA tags for comps doesn't mean SBS is right
or an authority by which things can be said to be correct or incorrect.

i don't follow the point you are making here.  what do you mean?  that
a different name, such as "Various Artists." instead of "Various
Artists" is too radical a departure and people will get lost?  kinda
hard to do if they are the ones changing the SBS setting anyway.
