Genres are useless. They have always been fairly useless, ever since the early MP3 software invented the concept. The programmers age and tastes showed. Eventually, the concept was expanded to be free text, but the damage has been done. A given song often has many genres, which depend a lot on the opinions of the listener. What you want is a "classification" so you could separate based on what you want. I have a lot of "jazz" and I think of that as a very broad field. I've argued on the developer's list for a substantially different schema, but it got too little support. -- Pat Farrell http://www.pfarrell.com/ _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
