Apparently, my library has 116 genres, so I guess that might count as really, really fine-grained. However, they're a mix of things I wanted to specialise (there are 8 that begin with "Ambient"), and whatever came out of whatever looker-up software I was using and couldn't be bothered to change. I agree with Pat that genres don't really cut it (and many of my 116 reflect that); but to do anything else would require more effort than I can be bothered to put in!
