If that's present the metadata relating to that album will be retrieved. If that's absent it'll look to artist + album for a match. If there's no metadata, the folder name is consulted for a clue.
Use of PUIDs would only be appropriate for track based tagging, and is probably a reasonable explanation of why Picard so often assigns tracks to an incorrect album e.g. a compilation instead of the same album as the other 10 tracks in the same folder. Agree it has advantages in uncovering the true identity of a misstagged track, but Picard's already useful in that context. -- audiomuze *'Linux finally gets a great audio tagger' (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/linux-finally-gets-a-great-audio-tagger.html): 'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84301 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
