Whether you're using its masstagging or interactive tagging capability, you remain in control at all points and not a single byte is written without your express say-so - puddletag will actually show you all proposed changes and requires your express approval before writing changes. If adding only a single tag/field, the simplest way to review the entire population of proposed changes would be to add the field you're after to the main view.
