The 64GB model is a new, so that does make it a bit more practical than the 16GB and 32GB models that they've had until recently.
Definitely check out whether the external control interface (i.e. the car stereo) will control the app though, as you're not going to want to have to root through the glovebox to change tracks on FLAC player application if it doesn't hook into the iPod controls. Bear in mind that Apple don't like developers using their proprietary functionality (so cover flow isn't allowed in apps for instance) so it may well be that an app isn't allowed to take over what would normally be the iPod internal player control user interfaces. If it works then great, but it may be easier to run Apple Lossless as your source format if you're adamant that you don't want duplicate data and at least that way your iPod will definitely work as advertised with whatever third-party system you hook it up to. -- paulster ------------------------------------------------------------------------ paulster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23073 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84652 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
