Sorry, I should have said " Mostly whatever RIPPER (not tagger) you are using will stick files into appropriate directories and you don't need to interfere with this much".
One further point is that, if you are a pragmatist rather than a perfectionist, you will choose a system that works for the majority of you music and accept that a minority may be less than perfect.
